Hynde

Mimicking the cast aside shed skin of a snake, ‘Hynde’ vestment’s length of just over three meters feels quite ceremonial. It’s piece dyed Belgian linen face acts as a strong colour block, perhaps a warning. Whilst the silk twill lining is printed with an inky motif that recalls erasers clapped out on brick walls and burst pens in pockets.

Varying graphic cotton canvas patches depict themes of the preservation of culture, ecology and education.
